Author Guidelines


1. Introduction

The topic of the manuscript revolves around issues of agrarian/land and spatial planning that encourage findings, new understandings and discussions resulting from research results, research studies, theoretical/idea reviews, research/policy notes on agrarian and land issues. The manuscript has never been published. The submission of the manuscript is accompanied by the author's biodata (attached format). Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or standard English, with the type of script as follows:

  1. Research results (5000-7000 words)
  2. Review theory/ideas (4000-6000 words)


 2. Systematic explanation

Systematic explanation of the text (Writing Systematics template, see next page). This systematics applies to the type of research results and the theory/idea review script.

  1. The title is written in a straight forward and informative manner using Indonesian and English. Title maximum of 14 words.
  2. Writer's name.
  3. Name of institution/agency
  4. Correspondence address (e-mail address).
  5. Abstract is written in Indonesian and English as many as 150-175 words, accompanied by keywords (3-5 words). The abstract contents contain the background of the problem, the purpose of the study, the research method, the results/finding of the study, and conclusion.
  6. The introduction contains systematics consisting of background, problems, objectives, methods, literature review of the importance of research (state of the art), statement of why this study needs to be done, whether this study has never been carried out by anyone else, clearly demonstrated the gap analysis with the statement (gap analisys), theoretical/conceptual framework (if any).
  7. Results and Discussion (please provide a separate title as intended by the article). In this section, comparisons with previous studies are presented, analysis and discussion and analysis of the findings. This section must be given a separate title, it is not permitted to only give the title "Results and Discussion". If this part is too long and it feels necessary to give a new title, then you can make your own subtitles, by giving a number:

  1. The conclusions are presented briefly, at least answering the problems and objectives in the study.
  2. Suggestions/Recommendations (if any). The content of the suggestions must be in line with the discussion, not general advice beyond those already discussed.
  3. Acknowledgments (if any), mentioned if there are parties/people who contribute to article writing such as research implementation assistance or research sponsors. Write a thank you clearly and briefly.
  4. Bibliography. Minimum of 20 references. The reference source ratio used in article writing comes from primary sources (70% of total references). The primary sources are accredited journals (Sinta 1-3), dissertations, theses master, proceedings, and main reference books that have been published in the last 7-10 years.


3. Guidelines for writing Citations and Bibliography

Writing quotes uses a body note model. Footnote may be presented for additional explanation, not for citation. The citation used was Harvard Citation Style. The citation stated in the article is using an application (Mendeley). For further, Link citation Harvard Citation Style HERE.


 4. Guidelines for Table and Figure

  1. Tables, drawings and graphs must be accompanied by titles, each of which is preceded by the words 'Table x' and 'Figure x', 'Graph x' where x is the sequence number.
  2. The initial title is written in capital (not the initial letter of each word) and does not use bold or italic letters.
  3. Tables, drawings and graphs can be given information with serial numbers using numbers 1, 2, 3, and so on. Each table, picture and graph must be accompanied by the source referred to as referring to the literature.
  4. Tables, images, and graphics must be clear and legible, not allowed to crop. If taking from another party must mention the source.
  5. The table title written above, the information and source are placed below.
  6. The title of the image and graphic are located below with the source.

 5.    Submission of manuscripts

The manuscript text must be submitted by one of two systems (the second procedure is more preferable):

  1. The document should submitted by Online Submission System in the BHUMI: Jurnal Agraria dan Pertanahan E-journal portal HERE.
  2. Firstly, the author should register as either an author or reviewer (checking role as author or reviewer) in the “Register” or HERE.
  3. After the registration step is completed, log in as an author, click in “New Submission”. The article submission stage consists of five stages, such as:  (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation.
  4. In the “Start” column, chose Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.
  5. In the “Upload Submission” Columns, upload the manuscript files in MSWord format in this column.
  6. In the “Enter Metadata” columns, fill in with all the author data and affiliation. Including the Journal Title, Abstract and Indexing Keywords.
  7. In the “Upload Supplementary Files” columns, the author is allowed to upload supplementary files, the statement letter, or any other else.
  8. In the “Confirmation” columns, if the data you entered are all correct already, then click “Finish Submission”.
